Sidang Tanwir Bahas Kemakmuran, PP Muhammadiyah Minta Prabowo Revisi UU yang Tidak Pro Rakyat

Sidang Tanwir is an annual event held by Muhammadiyah, one of the largest Islamic organizations in Indonesia, to discuss various issues related to the welfare and prosperity of the Indonesian people. This year, one of the key topics of discussion at the Sidang Tanwir was the need for revisions to certain laws that are not considered to be pro-people.

One of the laws that came under scrutiny at the Sidang Tanwir was the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, which was passed in October 2020. This law has been criticized by many as being detrimental to the rights of workers and not in line with the interests of the Indonesian people. Muhammadiyah, in particular, has called for revisions to the law to ensure that it better protects the rights of workers and promotes the welfare of the people.

During the Sidang Tanwir, Muhammadiyah also called on the government, specifically urging President Joko Widodo and Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto, to prioritize the interests of the people in their policies and decision-making. They emphasized the importance of ensuring that laws and regulations are in line with the principles of justice, fairness, and prosperity for all Indonesians.

In addition to calling for revisions to the Omnibus Law on Job Creation, Muhammadiyah also urged the government to take action to address other issues affecting the welfare of the people, such as poverty, inequality, and corruption. They emphasized the need for policies that promote economic growth and development while also ensuring that the benefits of this growth are shared equitably among all Indonesians.

Overall, the discussions at the Sidang Tanwir highlighted the importance of prioritizing the interests of the people in all government policies and decision-making. Muhammadiyah’s call for revisions to laws that are not considered pro-people reflects their commitment to promoting justice, fairness, and prosperity for all Indonesians. It is now up to the government to heed these calls and take action to ensure that the welfare and prosperity of the Indonesian people are protected and promoted.
